Einen wunderschönen Mittwoch Euch allen!

Als ich vorletzten Samstag einkaufen war, habe ich zufällig diese Gartenschuhe gesehen und konnte nicht widerstehen. Sind die nicht klasse?
When I did my weekend shopping the week before I stumbled over these pair of gardening shoes and could not resist buying them :-) Aren't they cute???














Und mit den neuen Schuhen an den Füßen habe ich dann am WE das schöne Wetter genutzt und angefangen, etwas im Garten aufzuräumen, zumindest die Beete an der Terrasse sind nun wieder weitesgehend unkrautfrei und alles Vertrocknete vom Vorjahr liegt auf dem Kompost.
And - with the new shoes on my feet - I took advantage of the nice weather last weekend and started some gardening work. At least the flower beds around the terrace are now weed-free and all shriveled foliage of last year ended up in our compost.

Einen weiteren Topf für vor die Haustür habe ich auch bepflanzt:

Nicht mehr lange und der Magnolienbaum blüht. Die Apfelbäume stehen auch kurz vor der Blüte, man kann das Weiss in den Knospen schon sehen. Und das Mini-Pfirsichbäumchen blüht auch (das hat es bisher jedes Jahr getan, aber noch nie ist eine Frucht daraus entstanden):
Not very long and the big Magnolia tree is going to bloom. It's a really uge one and it looks fantastic. The apple trees are also about to bloom and the mini-peach tree delights us with its pink little flowers (it did this every year from when I bought it but never ever produced one single fruit):
